Géraldine Lefrêne Cher Nougaro

This is the story of the meeting of the singer Géraldine Lefrêne and the pianist and organist David Bressat (awarded "Revelation" by Jazz Magazine with his album ALIVE), both of whom were lulled by the poet's vinyl records during their childhood. Nougaro at the crossroads of jazz and poetry is the perfect subject for a show: Chansongs Monsieur Nougaro was born in 2009.

The drummer Rémy Kaprielan, the pianist Clélia Bressat-Blum, the bass guitarist Maurade Meniri, professional musicians in jazz and song are also part of this project.

After 10 years on stage, the album appears as an evidence for the quintet: With personal arrangements of his songs, some unpublished poems of the poet and an original composition, Cher Nougaro invites to the emotions and to the discovery.

The opportunity to grow up through universal themes, always topical, and to fall back into childhood by tasting these "pieces of Nouga". Supported by the Lyon-based label Obstinato and distributed by the union of artists and labels Inouïe.

"From the start, we understand that we will not be dealing with an imitation. (...) Géraldine Lefrêne puts her touch and her generosity with an energy which embraces all the votes. (...) A nice moment of Nougat jazz, several encores and a conquered public.
